Five minutes with … Kalai Kumar, QA guru
Kalai (full name Kalaivani) is our QA ninja here at Credit Simple. She’s got a strategic desk next to the office fridge, makes a science out of taking naps (in her free time, of course), and can dubsmash like a pro.
What does a day in the life of you at Credit Simple look like?
Lots of QA (quality assurance), great laughs with my team and plenty of food. (Perks of being seated next to the office fridge!)
What do you particularly like about what we’re doing with Credit Simple?
I like how we all focus towards a single goal: to ensure the customers are given all information related to their credit files and also that we’re giving it to you for free!
Have you requested your own credit file?
Not yet but I am curious, so I will soon.
What did you do at uni?
Mostly performing the back benchers’ conventional tasks, and a bit of Computer Science Engineering whenever I was free.
What did you do in your previous working life?
I have been a QA since the start of my career. Occasionally, I have assisted my leads with their work to make things easier.
What do you do in your free time?
I love getting into a new TV series, plus shopping, and napping is a hobby, right?!
Tell us a little-known fact about you …
I can dubsmash really well. Especially dialogues from Friends and Game of Thrones.
If you were stuck on a desert island and you could choose one person from the Credit Simple team to come with you, who would you take and why?
I’d probably book extra tickets and take Elle, Dorian and David, because they all discuss funny topics and I’m definitely assured of having a lot of fun.
If you were stuck on a desert island with the entire Credit Simple team and you were starving and you had to choose someone to eat first, who would it be and why?
I’d rather take this as an opportunity to starve and shed some calories.
